Ed and I are becoming more conscious on what we eat. As much as possible, we eat less rice and less meat (of pork & beef) especially in the evening. So here's a very easy and healthy recipe of Bangus that I prepared the other night.
Ingredients:
1 medium size Bangus, slit on its belly
1-pc. garlic head, chopped
1-pc. onion, chopped
1-pc. tomato, chopped
1-tsp. sesame oil
salt
pepper
Procedure:
Heat the steamer. Add a few drops (around 1 teaspoon) of sesame oil on the liquid for added flavor and aroma.
In a small bowl, mix the garlic, onion, tomatoes, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stuff the fish with the mixture. Season it with a little salt and pepper and enclose with aluminum foil to cook faster. Put it in the steamer on high heat and cook for around 20 minutes.
You can also grill the fish instead of steaming it. Just enclose it with foil or with banana leaves.
Best served with rice. Mixture of light soy sauce, calamansi and chili for the dip.
Enjoy!
